December 2020

Remember this December that love weighs more than gold.~Josephine Dodge Daskam Bacon

As 2020 winds down, let’s make this a month to remember! Set aside time to care for your tender heart as the holidays may not look like they have in years past. Tune in to simple pleasures. Try a new recipe. Read a good book. Go for a hike and breathe in the beauty that surrounds you. Put on some Christmas music and dance in your kitchen. Simmer cinnamon sticks, cloves and orange peel in a pot of water on the stove and let it scent the air. There are so many ways to infuse a little happiness into your life.

At the studio, I have filled the boutique with an assortment to delight the senses! Hand stitched vintage textile throws. Therapeutic comfort wraps. Whimsical earrings. Bracelets with a message. Sage and selenite. Plus my personal fave, rose hydrosol face mist! There is a little something for everyone. And now, thanks once again to my amazing husband, Nourish has an online boutique that can be accessed from the website! Simply shop online and pick up your lovingly packaged purchases curbside. Gift certificates are also available!

Equally filled is our calendar with workshops to support you in ease this holiday season.

Learn how to ease physical and emotional pain by understanding and balancing the crown chakra. $30 Sign up here.

The finally offering is looking ahead to January. I am hosting a 5 week book club. The book we will be reading and discussing via zoom is Skill in Action: Radicalizing Your Yoga Practice to Create a Just World by Michelle Johnson. Skill in Action asks you to explore the deeply transformational practice of yoga as a way to become an agent of social change and work toward a just world. Through yoga practices and philosophy, this book explores liberation for ourselves and others, while asking us to engage in our own agency–whether that manifests as activism, volunteer work, or changing our relationships with others and ourselves. The first meeting will be January 3rd. I will be sending out further details, but this allows you to purchase the book in advance…or maybe put it on your wish list! 😉

It has been a challenging year. Due to your support, our community remains strong and our doors open. I am so grateful for you!

From me and mine, we wish you a holiday season filled with peace and blessings.

Yours in Yoga,
