  • Transform Your Work I was changing the beds and as anyone who’s ever changed the top bunk of a bunkbed can appreciate , I was feeling a little less than gracious about the job at hand. Then, I saw my sons crumpled up shirt on the floor: the one he had ripped off to replace it with a pink one when he remembered he was celebrating his friend today. Suddenly, every mess, every stuffed animal discarded on the floor, every candy wrapper I found under the bed (Declan!) became a source of gratitude. I no longer felt put upon as I finished the last bed. I felt honored and grateful. My study of yoga allows me to transform myself through service, love and devotion; ...
  • Evolve You are here to evolve and make your consciousness high You are here to dance, sing and celebrate life. You are here to help others to make their life happy. We are here not to compete, but to learn, evolve and excel. We are not here to make divisions in the name of prophets and religions. We are here to encompass the world with love and light. – Amit Ray   A friend posted this on Facebook this morning and it just resonated with me. This is why I am here! So grateful for the reminder! I invite anyone reading this to contemplate these words. Are you living a life of evolution? Are you seeking your highest self? Do you act in service to others? Can you shed the ...
  • Day 21! Today, we complete our discussion of chakras with the Crown chakra or bliss chakra. Located at the very top of our head, it is associated with the color violet and represents our connection to spirituality and pure bliss. When we realize that everything is connected and that we are part of a bigger picture, we begin to live with gratitude, faith and trust, rather than fear and anxiety. We are guided by a higher power and we feel divinity from within and from without. This can be supported with affirmations like “I honor the Divine within me”, “I am connected with the wisdom of the universe, or “I seek experiences that nourish my spirit”. Today, close your eyes and imagine all 7 chakras as spheres in the body. ...
  • Trust what you know. We move on, now, to the 3rd eye chakra. This chakra resides in the brow and is associated with the color indigo. The energy of this chakra allows us to experience clear thought as well as gifts of spiritual contemplation and self reflection. We can support this with affirmations like “I am wise, intuitive, and connected with my inner guide”, “I listen to my deepest wisdom” or “I am the source of my truth and my love”. Today, listen to your intuition. Let that certainty and awareness guide you. Trust what you know. <3 Much love, Lanta
  • Speak Your Truth We have become rooted in our foundation, fluid and soft, connected with our sense of power to bravely open our heart and now, we look at the throat chakra. The gift of this chakra is accepting your originality, expressing your authentic voice and speaking your truth. It is associated with the color blue. We can connect to our true voice with the following affirmations “I am open, clear, and honest in my communication”, “I have a right to speak my truth”, “I communicate my feelings with ease”. How do you communicate your Truth? Is it with confidence and compassion for others? Observe how to be in your Truth, but also doing no harm. Peace and love, Lanta
  • Open Your Heart. Today we move up to the heart chakra. I like think that the solar plexus chakra is the throne to your great big heart! It supports you with the courage to love and be loved openly and freely. The heart chakra is associated with the color green and the element, air. Engaging in pranayama, breath exercises, helps to create balance in the heart center. Take a moment to connect with your heart center. Repeat to yourself “All love resides in my heart”. Observe how this feels. Does this statement feel true? Maybe we need to fuel it with prana/breath/energy~ a 3-part breath, and some movement. Begin by finding a comfortable seat. Breath into the belly, then into the lower ribs, feeling expansion in the ...
  • Oh yes, you can! The third chakra is the solar plexus chakra. This is the chakra of will power. It is associated with the color yellow and the element of fire.Tthis chakra allows us to sense our personal power, allowing us to be confident, responsible, and reliable. It also speaks to self-discipline and igniting that internal fire, tapas. When you are feeling lackluster, this is the chakra to tap into with affirmations like “I direct my own life”, “I feel my own power” or “I choose the best for myself”. Reconnect with the breath of fire while holding your intention in your mind to step into your life full of confidence and self-value! How to do it Breathe in and out through the nose. Pull the abdomen in firmly towards the diaphragm ...
