  • Hear My Call. Yesterday, as I was speaking with a close friend, I spoke aloud a truth that I had discovered on retreat last September and she told me I should blog about it. My first thought was “I think I already did” and then, I thought “Do it again! We all need to hear this and know this truth!’ So, here it goes…. I am not broken. I am not in need of fixing. I have had experiences. I have been wounded. I have belief systems, both self taught and inflicted upon me, BUT these wounds and experiences and belief systems do not make me less…less worthy, less valuable than another, less deserving. I am not less than myself. I am. I am ...
  • Schedule Week of 1/27-2/2 I had so much fun last week exploring asteya or non-stealing. This yama kept coming up in conversations and felt so timely as I witnessed my friends stepping into personal responsibility, letting go of the need to be fulfilled by another and opening to possibility.  Truly beautiful This week, we move onto the 4th yama, bramacharya or moderation. The word Brahmacharya actually translates as ‘behaviour which leads to Brahman’. Brahman is thought of as ‘the creator’ in Yogic terms, so what we’re basically talking about is behaviour which leads us towards ‘the divine’ or ‘higher power’. In exploration of this, I invite you to direct your energy away from external desires and instead, towards finding peace and happiness within yourself. This concept will be supported on ...
  • Exalted and beloved. 2019 is coming in to me like an ecstatic tidal wave! I attended a New Year’s Workshop “Soul Destiny” with Ruth at Peace Tree Yoga where I got really clear about where I was heading and why. I hosted my first Ladies’ Nite burlesque class and it was sold out! I flew out to LA and spent two days immersed in devotional meditation and breath work with some jaw dropping inspiring women, creating a communion of sacred feminine and masculine within myself. I knelt at the altar of my own divinity and found myself beloved. I returned home exalted and ready to share. This week continues to support my heart’s longing. I kicked off my first Aerial Conditioning class with 7 students ...

  • Schedule Week of 1/13-1/20 Lots of fun this week! At Peace Tree Yoga, we continue to work with a meditation to remove obstacles while exploring ways to relieve blocks in the body. In Monday’s 9am class, our emphasis is on the hips and on Wednesday at 9am, we more to neck and shoulders. Let’s tap into our bodies and find ease. At the Bow Lake Community Club, we are discussing the 2nd yama or restraint of the 8-fold path- stay or truthfulness. How can we be for truthful in our Practice? Off the mat?  These questions will be explored through asana and breath work. There will be class Monday and Wednesday at 6pm, but NO CLASS ON FRIDAY morning. Can’t wait to see you on the mat! Lanta
  • Schedule Week of 1/6-1/12 Our first full week of 2019! I sincerely hope you were able to set aside some time to contemplate how you want to feel moving into this year. The next step is to ask what do I need to do to feel that way? Say “yes!” to things that support your journey or “no!” to things that might be drawing you back to old habits. This decision making will be supported at Peace Tree Yoga as we work with Yogi Bhajan’s Sutra “There is a way through every block.” and sitali breath visualizing ourselves as the solution to any obstacle. You can practice this meditation with me this week Mon and Wed 9am. I also have 4 spots left in my ...

  • Sharing I began this journey to reclaim myself. To become more comfortable in my skin. To see what I was capable of. It was certainly challenging. I had to get real with myself. I had to dig deep. I had to see myself and allow myself to be seen. I had to stop when I was injured. I had to hold space for myself that was more about acceptance and compassion than it was ever about accomplishment. And at the end of the day, it was so much fun! I love dancing and flying on the hoop. I love yoga and the constant unfolding of life’s mysteries when you follow the path. And most of all, I love sharing what I ...
