We are finishing up April’s “Bloom where you are planted’ theme and beginning May’s theme to explore the stories behind the archetypes of our poses. I am looking forward to sharing more yogic philosophy and history with you! This Monday 4/29 at 10:30am, I kick off my next Lyra Arts session. I have one spot left! As a child, did you love to swing? • Schedule 4/21-4/27
Happy Easter! As most of you know, I am away in VA/MD seeing family and friends. I am very grateful to say that ALL of my classes will run this week due to some awesome subs and I will be back to teach Friday 9am at the Bow Lake Community Club. Take some time this week to contemplate surrender. It is such a powerful support of transformation and rebirth. How can you soften into what IS instead of resisting? What can be amplified as you soften?  Joy? Love? Self-care? Relaxation? A sense of spaciousness in your breath, your body, your mind? Remember that Chelsea, a teacher in training that I mentor, is stepping up to cover Monday’s 6pm class. Bring your beginner’s mind and ...

  • Schedule Week 4/14-4/20
What a beautiful morning! It is easy to feel connected and in tune bathed in the warmth of Spring and bird song! I am teaching this morning (Sunday at 9am) and it is likely that I will harness this verdant joy and reflect it back in my class.I will also be teaching on Monday and Wednesday at 9am as we continue to connect with the mantra So Hum and cultivate a sense of personal emergence from rooting and connection. The Aerial Conditioning and Lyra Arts Sessions begin again April 29 and May 1. Only one spot left, so don’t hesitate! I am contemplating replacing the Aerial Conditioning class with another Lyra Arts class to meet these demands and would welcome any feedback. At the Bow ...
  • Come and get it!
Welp! I am not very good at writing regularly, but I am back! I continue to seek vulnerability, softness and openness in my life. I continue to lean in to areas that create discomfort and attempt to reconcile the truth with action. It is a daily practice. I invite you to join me in it.<3 So what have I been up to? I sat for a boudoir photography session with Nichole Goldworthy, relinquishing all control over the choices and am thrilled with the results! I was so afraid to see the images…afraid that I would hate how I looked, but she captured a calm, self-assured woman (sexy too! teehee) and I realized that that is who I am and it is time to ...
  • Schedule Week of 4/7-4/13
I am sitting in the sunshine, seeing robins out my window. I find myself so thrilled by the warmer days. The depth of this feeling fills me with curiousity. Why do I allow my moods to be determined by things I can not control? This is a great reminder to continue to turn inward and develop my relationship to joy within. Pratyahara, the fifth limb of yoga, invites us to do just that-make a conscious effort to draw our awareness from the external world and direct our attention internally. We will be working with this through out the week at the Bow Lake Community Center. Mon and Wed 6pm and Fri 9am At Peace Tree Yoga, we are continuing to develop our focus on “Bloom ...

  • Schedule Week of 3/24-3/30
The last week of March is upon us and I confess to feeling so ready for Spring! At Peace Tree Yoga, we are continuing the Laya Yoga mantra to transcend our external reactivity. I will be teaching Sunday, Monday and Wednesday at 9am. I am also teaching Lyra Arts on Mondays at 10:30 and Aerial Conditioning on Wednesdays at 10:30. Drop ins are welcome at the Conditioning class for $20. At the Bow Lake Community Club, we are exploring Asana, the third limb of Yoga. Asana or poses facilitate so much awareness of breath, of where tension is held in the body, and our state of mind. It helps us to cultivate intentions on the mat as a way to live off of ...
  • Schedule Week of 3/17-3/23
Another beautiful week ahead! I celebrate this change of season as the ground begins to warm and the snow melts away. So much possibility! To emerge from Winter’s depth renewed and with a sense of purpose. This week, at Peace Tree Yoga, we continue to support cultivating that sense of connection to higher purpose with the Laya Mantra. My aerial Conditioning Class welcomes drop-ins on Wednesdays at 10:30 for $20 or you can begin a 5 week session on May 1 for $75. You can register for these here. At the Bow Lake Community Center, ...
  • hmmmm…….
It has been over a month since I last wrote. I had a varicose vein removed at the end of January. It was a little more extensive than I had thought it would be. It rendered me inactive as I healed and following my ablation and the holidays, I find my weight up. The old thought patterns came up, but I was able to set them aside…mostly. I hunkered down and started to manage this through upping my cardio and restricting my calories. Blah blah blah. This topic bores me, but I think it is important to share that like yoga, it is a constant practice. Old stories fight to return and imbed in your consciousness. You must be vigilant. You ...
