Restorative Yoga/Yoga Nidra

This 75 minute class offers a combination of classic restorative yoga postures with the deep relaxation of Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep. It will be held the first Friday of every month at 6:30.
Restorative Yoga is a gentle, slow, still type of yoga that invites the body back to its natural alignment while encouraging a release of deep-rooted muscular tension, stress and tightness.  Your body will be fully supported with props so you can experience a deep relaxation to replenish your body’s energy.  To complete your total body and mind relaxation we will finish with Yoga Nidra practice. Benefits of Yoga Nidra practice include stress reduction, management of chronic pain, symptoms of depression and anxiety and relief for insomnia or sleeplessness.
This class is suitable for all ages, abilities and physical conditions and will complement any of your other mind/body regiments.     
Join us in-studio (please pre-register) and tap off the communal energy, or take this class from the comfort of your own home via Zoom.  
The studio will have some props, however, you are encouraged to bring with you a blanket, a bolster or pillow, yoga blocks and a weighted eye mask if available to you.  Please bring a water bottle as well.
