This is an exciting week ahead! I am teaching lots of classes and hosting a workshop. So let me give you all the details!
At Peace Tree Yoga, I am teaching yoga Mon, Wed AND Thurs at 9am. We are finishing up April’s “Bloom where you are planted’ theme and beginning May’s theme to explore the stories behind the archetypes of our poses. I am looking forward to sharing more yogic philosophy and history with you!
This Monday 4/29 at 10:30am, I kick off my next Lyra Arts session. I have one spot left! As a child, did you love to swing? Dream of running away with the circus? Love to dance? Dream in glitter? Then, this 5 Week session is for you! In each class, you will learn a Lyra sequence (poses and transitions) with complementary choreography. We will build on this through out the session, culminating in a complete performance ready piece. It’s your choice whether or not to take it on the road! 😉 $105 You can sign up here.
On Wednesday, 5/1 at 10:30, I start the next Aerial Conditioning session.In this 45 minute class, you will develop strength and flexibility to support you in pursuing aerial arts …or just look like you do. This class is open to all levels and is tailored to allow everyone an opportunity to see growth and gain confidence and familiarity with aerial apparatuses. $75 for 5 classes or $20 drop in. Last but never the least, my mentor, Erin Byron, MA, E-RYT500, returns on May 2 to lead an exciting workshop, Peeking into the Corners: Yoga & Creativity to Honor the Shadow Self. Expect to play creatively with the voice of the saboteur/critic/nay-sayers in your head. We’ll move through accessible yoga postures that relate to facing the shadow self and find ways to work WITH our darker parts. We will also have the chance to respond to the mean voice inside via the same creative means we first expressed it. I feel that we all can benefit from this sort of exploration. Wow! But that is not all! I am still offering Yoga By Donation at the Bow Lake Community Center. Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and Fridays 9am. This week we are exploring Dhyana or meditation. Never meditated? Don’t worry! Yoga meets you right where you are. We will look at ways to calm our minds and deepen our Self awareness and I promise, you will leave feeling relaxed and at ease.
